victory in Iraq is when Iraq proves to be victorious over the US, which looks like just about any day now.

In all the circumstances and in view of the many deaths of civilians, and military personnel of ALL sides, there will never be what you may call a victory.
Although not 'victory' in it self, the nearest thing to that situation, would be when the military of all the nations involved were able to return safely home.
The best one can ever hope for is an eventual lasting peace in Iraq and the whole of the middle east but that will probably not come about until far in the future.

It's hard to know when the war will be over. Mr. President has not yet even said exactally why he is fighting the war. Gas? Money? Land? We don't quite know and we may never know. It seems to be that we might be fighting until Iraq surrenders. And what about all of the innocent Iraquies? Why are they being killed, what have they done? Will this war ever end or will it be just like another "world" war that will last for a rediculous about of time?

There can never be anything called a victory now it's too late and it's been a balls up from day one.
Forget the "politically acceptable exit strategy", the troops should just leave now. For all politicians; you will win more hearts and votes by admitting the troops should come home now than by keeping them there.

We won the war when the first ever freely elected government was elected in Iraq. We are now in the stage of helping the Iraqi people build their own government and be able to defend it. The final victory is when the Iraqi people can defend themselves on their own.

Victory is when people stop sitting around talking about how bad it is & actually do something about it! Ah sure everyone else will parade about Bush so there's no point in going out & doing it. Just imagine if the amount of people saying that just got off their arses and did something!

Hey the Iraqi people belong to different tribes and will only be happy while killing each other until one group of nuts takes power and persecutes the other.
Leave and let them be happy, but remind them "keep that oil flowing or George Dubya will be back"
Oh!!!! WHAT A MESS
