I am currently taking Medroxypr Ac for irregular periods. I had surgery in December 05 for Endometriosis and since then I have had 2 periods, one in feb and one in may so my Gynecologist suggested to take Medroxypr Ac for the next three months to try and regulate my periods, My husband and I have been married for about a year and a half and we would like to start a family but we all know that we cant get pregnant without ovulating, so my question is has anyone ever taken this medicine for irregular periods and if so where there periods regular after having taken it. Or is there any other medication someone has taken for the same problem that I could possibly suggest to my Gynecologist about taking??????

I finished taking the medroxypr AC three days ago, but I still have not started my period. I did some reading and I was supposed to start yesterday....I am taking it to jump start my system, I have never had more than 3 periods a year, and my husband and I want to get pregnant. I have never heard of this medication not working, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. According to my doctor, I was going to be put on different medication (I don't know what) after I started my period to ensure that I have a regular 28 day cycle and start ovulating like a normal person. I am not on medroxypr to regulate my periods, just to start the first one. When I receive my new rx, I'll let you know so you can talk to your doctor about it.

I have used it. As some distance as part results it may well make you a bit of dramatic and perhaps a bit of depressed however fertility medications do this besides. Once you become aware of it used to be the med and now not you, you give up biting folks's heads off
