I've dressed as a guy twice.
Once, I called and managed to sweet talk the local NFL football team into letting me borrow a uniform! Pads and everything! (Still can't believe they let me.) But I didn't do much to my face so everyone could still tell I was female (got a lot of attention tho)

Second time I realized I needed a costume that looked like something a guy would wear that covered more of my girly face. I couldn't just dress like a man. I had to dress like a man dressed like SOMETHING so people would notice the SOMETHING instead of noticing I was really a female. After a trip to the costume shop for makup supplies, I ended up wearing a fake beard/mustache, put dark makeup on my face with a stubbly brush to make the skin look rougher, and got a fake hook-shaped nosed at the costume shop that I put on with costume glue. Slapped on a pair of dark shades to hide my long eyelashes. Then I tied a white scarf on my head with a rope so that it covered my hair and neck. (arab-style). I wore a loose shirt with a tall collar and big sleeves, a colorful vest (think 70's rock style to cover my chest) and a pair of loose black mens slacks so my black boots wouldn't be so noticeably girly. I tried to keep my hands in my pockets when I was meeting people (I have little hands) so they wouldn't noticed. Also practiced a deeper voice. A lot of people actually DID think I was a guy! I remember asking one guy for the time and put my hand on his arm to better view his watch.... he jumped and backed away! Guess he was homophobic! It was hilarious. Amazingly, I got three dates that night from guys who thought I was creative, mysterious, and fun.
If you really want to do it right, the main thing is to cover that softer looking fem face of yours. Distract them with an interesting costume (not just jeans and jacket). Hide your hands. And practice the "guy" walk -- no hip swishing! Good luck. Have fun

Actually it's very easy to do. First, strap your breasts flap with Duct Tape and then wrap with an ace bandage. If you have long hair, put it in a low braid (not a french braid!). If you can fit it under a ball cap, do so. If not, many guys have long hair that they keep in braids or ponytails at the base of their skull. If you have any facial hair at all, I suggest using a bit of mascara on it. It will give you that "unshaven" look. Keep in mind that you should use a light to medium brown mascara, NOT a black mascara! Wear a pair of LOOSE fitting men's jeans WITHOUT a belt. Your hips will hold them up and wearing a belt will only accentuate your femenine curves rather than giving you a "masculine" looking body. I recommend that you wear a T-shirt Under a flannel. Tuck the T-shirt in and leave the flannel out. This gets rid of your hips and butt. Wear men's shoes (men's tennis shoes are quite comfortable). Last but not least, your shoes do NOT have to match your shirt! That's a girl thing.....

I help drag kings and drag queens pick out their fashions frequently. If you REALLY want to go the extra mile, then purchase a "life-like" dildo and keep that in your pants.... However, that isn't necessary at all.

My sister did a really convincing boy one year and she did not tape her chest down though she is a rather big breasted girl. She dressed in men's clothing a t-shirt and a baggy hoodie then she took some black liner and drew in a mustache (would be more convincing with a fake stache. She pulled her hair up and was convincing enough that one of her friends thought she was hot.

Fake facial hair and men's clothing, maybe a baseball cap, that's all I can think of. Men have such an easier time doing the reverse since they can go all out with it! lol
