I am not a computer person- I can barely email- anyway- I went on myspace for the first time the other night just to see what it was and since the only thing I know about it is younger people go there to chat- well I put in my ex boyfriends sons name just for fun-he is in his teen years now- not expecting anything after 12 years of not hearing from him or his dad- and wow- there he was- grown up and beautiful- and then I found his dad's profile--and he is single!!! I was engaged to this man and helped him raise his son who I love- and still dream about-but I left after 4 years together because his dad discovered hard drugs and his family and I couldn't help him though we tried- so now- here he is- older, clean, a job, loves his son and painting, etc etc and single- I want to talk to him but I am scared to death- what if we have both changed too much? What if he wouldn't like me now? This was the real deal- first love- great love-once in a lifetime-yes I am single still- what to do?

I believe he is clean- there was a picture- and you can look at a person you love on drugs and look at a person you love who is older and not on drugs and still tell the difference-a person on dope looks like they are possessed- think exorcist- they look similiar but someone else staring at you through their eyes.

GO FOR IT!
You wouldn't of stumbled onto the page if you all weren't supposed to cross paths again.

I say go for it. :) Even though you're a complete stranger, the prospect of you falling in love again and things working out the right way this time makes me happy. If he breaks your heart for a second time, you'll know to move on for good. If you don't contact him, you'll always wonder.

Go for it. Life is too short to question yourself. You may not end up having a relationship, but you could be friends. Everyone needs friends. Good luck.

Don't be scared of the "what if's" as you'll never know until u try. Send him a msg to say hi, how are u doing? I would if I were u.
So...get out of your comfort zone and do it....what have u got to lose?

Go for it! You said "What if we have both changed to much" I think thats the whole idea. you have both changed, and maybe it will work out this time. You will never know unless you try. What do you have to lose?

It never hurts just to talk!!
But don't go getting your hopes up. If he didn't think about contacting you after he cleaned up, then you must not be on his mind.
Good luck!
