I've never visited there, but I do like cold and snow. I actually prefer cool rainy or snowy days to hot sunny ones. I currently live in a small college town in Indiana. But other than weather, what else does Minneapolis have to offer?

I love my husband and am up for going anywhere with him! I didn't mean to imply that I didn't want to go. I just wanted to know what to look forward to!!!!

There's the Target Center which has good name concerts and events, the Mall of America of course, shopping along Niccolet, and bars and restaurants like crazy. And the restaurants are some high end names, like Aqua. I think the warehouse district is still good for nightlife. And there's a great little place called Brit's Pub (the Scotch eggs are great). Many downtown buildings are connected by skywalks.

Driving can be a bit of a bear, especially if you live in the suburbs. Bicycling is pretty popular, and there are tons of clubs and routes if you're into that.

ohhhh you lucky lucky lucky lucky lucky lucky lucky lucky

oh, you are SO lucky. That's a WONDERFUL town! I lived there 10 or 12 years and wouldn't have moved if my friend hadn't got sick and needed me. The arts are encouraged A LOT there. There's an art fair every summer - Lake Street Art Fair that's wonderful. The lakes are fabulous! The concerts! The music! The ball games! Restaurants! Mall of America! Oh you are SOOOO lucky! I wish my husband would go there. I just HAD to marry a southerner. Dangit.

If you get a chance, shop at Lunds or Byerly's. Byerly's used to have CARPET and chandeliers! What a grocery store! Lunds was a social scene - everyone who was ANYONE you could see at the produce section or the deli at Lunds on Lake Street!

Oh man, you will SO love that town! Go! Have Fun! (And yeah, it snows a lot. They have walkways downtown so you can shop without going out into it!)

I like Minnesota - the spiffy thing about Minneapolis, is that it's right next to St. Paul, and like 8,000 suburbs, so there's always something to do. One place I definitely recommend is Comedy Sportz. It's a "whose line is it anyway" style comedy club, decently family friendly. It's way cool. Indiana to Minnesota is kind of a large move, but my parents moved from Indiana to Minnesota like 20 years ago, and they love it here.

summer, 10,000 lakes, 10,000,000,000,000 misquitos.
winter, -100° and 100 feet of snow, 5 million people who don't remember how to drive on snow.
enjoy
