If I were interested in finding a House or Apartment that was for rent. In a college town, how much would rent cost monthly. About average, based on what a college student might generally pay. Thankyou

depends on where you are and how big it is but I would say for a one bedroom, around 600-700 and two bedrooms 800-900 especially if you are near the college.

I live near Dartmouth College (New England, Ivy League) and apartments around here are pretty expensive compared to the surrounding towns. My tiny one bedroom is $600 a month. Most college kids rent a house for a couple thousand and split the rent.

It's subjective by town. College towns are usually higher because of the supply/demand there. Do a search for the town you're thinking about, find the newspaper for that town (they usually have a website and it'll come up in the search results). Look in their classifieds. Or try Thriftynickel.com, or rent.com. Good luck!
