it was the name of the wii, Nintendo changed it from revolution to wii not sure why.

Yes, it is the Wii, just the codename. And to the guy above.... they didn't rename it because no one liked the name the Revolution... Go to www.ign.com and read the interview from a few months ago from a Nintendo Rep on why they renamed it. It's essentially because the name "Revolution" gave everyone the wrong idea. It's not meant to "revolutionize" anything, so they changed it to Wii. Also, she stated that Wii sounds like "we", meaning two or more people, which can be associated with more than one person playing a game or games. They want everyone to enjoy it, being also that the word "we" means more than one person, that's why "Wii" is spelled with two letter i's, because the uncapitalized letter "i" looks like a person, think like the bathroom signs with a man on it, a stick with a circle for the head. Meaning, the Wii is for everyone.

Its the codename of Wii....after some time when they told about the revolution...they said it was a codename, project for now the real name is Wii.

It was renamed the Wii because people didn't like the above name.
