Take a cutting and use Miracle Gro Rooting Powder,
and then plant it in Miracle Gro Potting Soil.

Roses are pretty flexible on the number of ways to start new ones. There are ideas already posted to this question that will work. Another way is to dig out a section of root and plant it somewhere else (this is what I have done many times).

dont cut the rose! its very simple, take one of the long flexible stems bend it over to the ground and set a rock on it, not a huge rock just something large enough to keep it down. it will do the rest.
