If so, should the shades of denim be close to the same or should one be lighter or darker than the other?

Sure it's ok. You could also wear a leather or black vest with it and that'd look great too. Don't forget boots.'

This is just my opinion but people who go for the all over denim look look a little like they are wearing a jean suit. Its just too much all at once.

I suggest that u don't. It looks so tacky and constantly reminding me of the '80s. Wear one at a time (unless it's a denim jacket with denim pants).

When matching a denim jacket/shirt and jeans it's best that the denim doesn't match.
(Darker jeans-lighter jacket OR Darker jacket-lighter jeans)

Personally I would only do it if the shades matched but denim shirts do go well with khakis

Denim and Denim...isn't that what prisoners wear in correctional facilities??

I guess you could wear it if you wanted to look fashionable in prison!!!

Thanks for the 2 points!!!

Hhhmmm, My opinion? No, i wouldnt wear that. If you are
going to wear a blue denim shirt, then wear a pair of khakis
with it. I think that would look best!

Don't do it! I swear!
I did it once, I convinced myself it was okay and after I was out I realized it is soooo not okay. I am still slightly embarassed to this day!

I do not ever wear two jean colors together. You always find yourself wondering which two jean colors match or compliment each other..stay away!
