I wouldnt dare do that. All mature 11 year olds? Are they mature when the parents arent looking. Just because you trust her, doesnt mean you can trust the people she is around. She has to be at least 12 or older. Even then I think that is too young. There is too much danger out there to be letting an 11 year old girl out by herself.

I was trick or treating with my older sister till I was 15. I was mature enough do it earlier than that but my parents always made sure someone older came with me. There are some real creeps in this world! Even some one that is older to go with her would be fun for them.

It's not just their age, it's their level of maturity and common sense developed. Some younger children are more capable than older ones. If she's eleven, mature, and with a group of other trustworthy children, she will likely be just fine going out without an adult.

I don't think you should let her trick-or-treat alone...too many risks. If you don't want your kid to feel embarrassed because you're with her, then offer to park the car nearby the houses in the neighborhood she's trick-or-treating at. That way, you can sit in the car to keep an eye on your daughter and her friends to ensure their safety, and be far enough away to not embarrass them or invade their privacy. That's what my mom did when I used to trick-or-trick, and neither of us had a problem with it.

National Safety Council is very clear when they state that 'make sure that an adult or an older responsible youth will be supervising the outing for children under age 12.

My husband's cousin is 11 and he or she nevertheless is going with a determine... i in my view think of once you're sufficiently old to pass on my own you're too old to trick or cope with. i could say 14 in a first rate community, yet i'm no longer loopy approximately it. i in my view do unlike strolling on my own after dark in any city. merely considering you reside in a community the place homes are over 4000 squarefeet does no longer propose there are not psychos on your section, you recognize? In a team center college pupils ought to pass jointly... ideally with some older youngsters of their team...

if she is as mature as you say than let her go out by herself.I think she is old enough and she won't be alone and she will have a phone.(call her every half hour to see whats shes up to)and plus she would probably feel embraced to be with her mom when her friends can go by themselves
