Why do simple minded people ask such simple minded questions?
You are not even logical at all. Your statement is a false premise and is therefor worthless

The Constitution stands in the way of profit & power. The political ancestors of the Republicans, the Federalists, opposed and destroyed the Articles of Confederation for the same reason.

If you can provide a legitimate reason for such a ludicrous statement, I would be glad to research for a valid answer.

As it is, the Republicans are no different in their love or hate of the Constitution than the Democratic Party. Both Parties really are not concerned with anything other than their campaign coffers and their power addictions.

You just don't understand, do you.

Bush is an aberration, a result of too many generations in one family in politics.

Just because he and his ilk has no regard for the Constitution doesn't mean republicans don't.

Think about it . . . we live in a Republic. Not a Democracy.

Democracies always degenerate into totalitarianisms.

If you're so hot on the Constitution, have you read it?

Do you know it doesn't apply to you?

Have you read the 14th Amendment? Did you know that you are what's called a "14th Amendment citizen".

That's someone who has forfeited their Constitutional rights for civil rights and immunities.

Study up, boy, you've got a long way to go.

man, I'm becoming a big fan of your retarded blanket statements! They make me laugh! Many Republicans would support a ban on burning the flag which violates free speech and property rights. And many Democrats support gun control, which violates the right to bear arms. I'd say all government has a problem with parts of the Constitution, because it gets in the way of total power.

Conservatives, well republicans believe in order, compared to liberals who believe in freedom, which the Contstitution preaches. Their advocates are prudent and not eager for change, especially rapid change that upsets the hierarchy of power in the global system. They also tend to see war as the natural order of things, as a necessary evil.
