The future is not set,therefore anything could happen.
When it comes to actual time travel,from what I understand, it would take the energy of a star to form a tear(or rip) in space/time.As a thought experiment,time travel can send us on wondrous and terrifying trips.For now,unfortunately,Well's Time Machine and Dr.Who's Tardis,are just enjoyable pieces of fiction.

Yes, if Christianity is FALSE then the future could be just like Well's had envisioned it- a subhuman race of protohumans that de-evolved, and a superhuman race that was in control.
Kinda like the government today for the one world rulers, with the banks and all of us people being the poor surfs under their leadership
