If you're not a Filipino, just relax here and have fun. After 14 years here, I can generalise by saying that 95% of foreigners who start a small business are either pushed out by locals offering the same or inferior product, or, make only just enough to cover their costs due to various nefarious occurences with staff or others.
Sorry, I love it here, but made a decision to never do anything in this country and I've been happy. I did get involved with a foreign company and that has paid off well, not in terms of income, but lifestyle.

it depends on what type of business you want to venture in. If your location is good like area near schools, universities and offices, a restaurant or an eating place won't be bad. Computer shops are also a possibility. It's up to you. Make sure that you have a good location so you won't go bankrupt like other businesses that I know...

Try to study investments in agriculture.

it would vary from province to province,you'd really have to study that for awhile to know what new thing you could bring to that area...

if ur planning to put up a business, small or big, doesnt matter.. as long as u like what u r doing and u huv interest on doing that business and most important is.. u huv a capital.. hehe ;))
