I have access to a pressure cooker which will give me one atmosphere of pressure above room ambient pressure. Do not know how to seal a metal box within which to heat the charcoal pellets anaerobically. (otherwise they will burn.)

I would not try this at home. Normal regeneration is done at temps way above what you are going to get and your system will not be uniform. You also don't mention the contaminents, which when released could cause a fire or explosion. Just not something to do at home. For the price of replacing your kitchen, you can buy bunches of AC.
