It is Just perfection, Every charecter is played perfectly by each actor/actress.
My favourite Charecter has gotta be Grandad, His 1 liners are just legendary.

Keeping Up Appearances with Patricia Routledge does it for me personally. You see Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet) is essentailly my mother, always pretending she is better than everyone else, lots of airs and graces, putting on a posh voice until she thinks no-one is listening. She is the only one who does not see it .
Her brother nicknamed her "Mrs Bouquet" - it was ok for him he didnt live near and she didnt visit - they weren't posh enough (just like Mrs Bucket's brother)!
Sadly her brother died recently and mum went to his funeral (keeping up appearances!), someone introduced his grandchild to my mother at the funeral and the young lad smiled and laughed "oh goodness - you're Mrs Bouquet" - my mother is also very deaf and doesnt like questioning what she doesn't hear or understand because she feels it makes her look stupid - so as usual she just smiled and agreed!
It was a comedy in itself - everyone fell about laughing and she wouldnt dream of asking why.

Keeping Up Appearances, I actually worked with someone just like Mrs. "it's pronounced BOO KAY" Bucket.
Red Dwarf because it is just silly.

I have 2 favourite characters.
Sybil in Fawlty Towers. The way she always shrieks out "BASIL!". She manages to hen-peck, badger and belittle him, but he stays with her through everything.
Rimmer in Red Dwarf. It is the way Chris Barrie plays him (I just can't see anyone being able to play Rimmer).
My favourites quotes;
"I'm sat here wearing a red and white checked gingham dress, and army boots and you think nothings' amiss".
"Let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet, to meet the king of the potato people and beg with him for your life? And your telling me your completely sane?!"

Steptoe and son! The original fools and horses!! Two fantastic actors who not only were funny but had to pull it off in front of a live audience.

basicly because i think it's a work of genious and I love Simon Pegg. It's one of the smartest and most well written TV Shows out there.
My faverate charictor has got to be Tom Bissley because he's so geeky it makes me laugh! Though i'm one to talk.

People don't seem to watch or even know Red Dwarf. I'm glad my Mother introduced it to me. Great stuff!
