if my cycyle is every 28days ..how long after conception can i take a pregnancy blood or urine test?

i know i can take it 5 days before missed period.......but how soon after conception will the blood test be accurate.......thanks!!

2 weeks after conception. the baby may not implant right away so it doesn't hurt to wait a few days. i always had a regular cycle and ovulated on time but when i got pregnatn it took nearly a week to show up because either i ovulated late (never happens for me) or the baby took it's time to implant

Even taking the test 5 days before a missed period isnt correct. Because it all depends on when the egg implants into the uterus which can be anywhere from 6 to 12 days after conception. On average a woman can get a positive test around day 11, but its not a guarantee for all. Your best best is to wait a full 14 days after ovulation day, which if you have a 28 day cycle will be the day or day after your missed period. A blood test can also be tried at 6 days after conception, but it is still not guaranteed, because like I said, it all depends on the egg attaching itself and the HCG producing.

Blood tests can detect hcg within 10-12 days after ovulation and you can feel reasonably comfortable with the results, however, hcg can be detected sooner in some women and later in others. The tests that say "test 5 days before missed period" they are only about 60% accurate then if you read the package you can see. I belive they can tell now adays as soon as a week and I found with my daughter when i was one week with a home test,"Clear blue",its the best,you just pee on stick,put cap back on stick,hold it facing down and in 3 mins.the results,i,d do that and then make appointment for blood tast to make sure everything curect!Good Luck,hollywood
