I think its tonight the orionid meteors are at their max. I just want to know has anyone seen any yet - seriously. (probably not we're all doing this!) I think you have to look after midnight. I saw a shower of leonid meteors once and it was bloody amazing, so don't want to miss these if they're gonna be as good and would recommend others having a quick look too.

Looked this up on BBC site; they say it's Nov 19th, the Leonoid meteor shower. They reckon it's going to be amazing. Nice to see someone interested. I will watch a bit tonight just in case.

I don't know if it was a particular meteor shower, but one night I was out very late and saw several shooting stars, maybe 15 or so, over about 20 minutes. It was very impressive.

Where I live now, though, it is too bright out from all the homes and businesses, so I won't be able to see anything :-(

The meteor shower will be most visible in the UK just before sunrise. Or to be exact 06:47 and 06:49am. They should be the same brightness as an average star.
I'm working all evening so will be awake to witness it - Its nice and clear with no clouds! :D

i guess there is a shower tonight, im going to watch and see, but usually, shooting stars appear in the north-eastern sky here, at about 1:30 highso if you look north east, then imagine a clock facing nn/e, then at around 130 is where the sky is busiest. we rarely get shooters in the southern sky, just to bright "http://www.serve.com/wh6ef/comets/meteors/showers/orionidobs.html."
