Hi, I am currently in the midst of applying for homeowner's insurance but I have on problem, there's a hold the size of a beach ball in my roof. Is there anyway I could hide this from the inspector?

I think that you should repair the hole. Misleading inspector may get you insurance but if damage occurs you may be refused payment. If you carefully read your policy you will find there a paragraph which will state that the willful omission and concealment nullify policy. It is unwise to pay for insurance and have it voided when house is damaged.

He's going to look at the roof. If he smells a scam you could find yourself under insurance fraud charges.....
