kenmore sewing machine?

Could you tell me where I get a string from under bobbin? I see two holes on the sewing machine. Both holes are by 7/8 5/8 signs. Am I supporsed to take a string from one of these holes? I tried and it didn't sew.

no, the bobbin thread is supposed to come up between the feed dogs.

Insert the bobbin with a 2 or 3 inch thread tail lying on on top of it and close the bobbin cover so that the end of the thread tail sticks out. Thread the needle and tap the pedal so that it goes up and down once.

When it comes back up it will "catch" the bobbin thread and bring it back up with it.

(this works on every machine I've every used).
