give that special friend some roses or take them out,buy them dinner,or just tell them how u feel about the special person.

This is a very open ended question not being definitive. However, I take it you are asking affirmatively. I would be a good good friend by being true, kind and loyal. However where hurting someone for this friend physicslly or emotionally, I would draw the line.
For my love, all of the above in addition to love her with all my heart not only in words but also in deeds.
