Kaylee, I'm about to burst your bubble from across the pond, but someone's gonna have to do it....
First of all, most of the eBay "Make a Million overnight" stories are largely untrue. Those early eBay Millionaires that REALLY did score big, have already done so and are long gone! Now eBay's marketplace is SO innundated with too many people selling the exact same goods that prices for most EVERYTHING that sold at a higher prices have come down so cheaply that the Mom & Pop, part time, casual and small business sellers cannot compete with easily.
Then you get the "eBay Wholesalers" touting you can make it big, all the while their actual purchase price is slightly lower that the MFG. retail price.
Unless you have a product that is SO unique, SO unusual and SO in demand, you will not be an overnight sensation on eBay. Look at the What's Hot list of items that are in demand.

YES, Virginia...(like the Santa Claus girl!), there IS such a thing as making money on eBay!. You are just not going to do it overnight, make it rich quick, and make an immediate killing there. The market will bear what people will pay!
It takes hard work, preseverence, dedication, innovation, patience, and a slew of other talents to be successful on that venue. I am a now an eBay Power Seller and that success came after many hours spent on researching my products. There's no such thing as a free lunch.
So, you want to sell - YOU GO, GIRL! eBay has many FREE resources for you to utilize so you can build your business.

There are the "I can teach you eBay..." CD's classes, & books available, but just WHERE do you think they got THEIR information - on the eBay website and Community Boards where eBayer's share their experiences and people ask questions. I encourage you to visit there. The 'boards are valuable!

They might if it was shaped like Jesus or looked like Princess Di.
The weirder the item is on eBay, the higher the bids have came in. Use your imagination and the sky is the limit.
