As friends i would say most definitely. Both bring sophistication, humor. Cancers r filled w emotions. Libras have almost none and r all about logic. Cancers have a lot of logic too and try to find balance between logic and emotion which can b very difficult. Both r cardinal signs so they both need to take action and b n control. That is kind of where the problem lies. Although cancer is cardinal as well we will more than likely let libra call the shots because of their sophistication, charisma and charm. Libras r almost irresistible. Cancers want Libra to understand their viewpoints and emotions. Libras want cancer to just understand their logic. Libra, however will not likely budge to want cancer is asking for. There is seldom compromise from a Libra. And libras take forever to come to a decision which is usually the same conclusion they had n the beginning b4 they started analyzing whatever the question at hand was.

This is an excellent team! Libra is totally accepting and really understands that sometimes Cancer needs to get a little wacky. Cancer lavishes caring and attention on Libra, and encourages the potential she sees in her friend. They both love good food, so they need to keep an eye on indulging themselves too much. They are also pretty determined, so they can help each other stay healthy. Libra helps Cancer be a little more practical while Cancer will assure Libra that it’s ok to be a little more in touch with her emotions.

Cancer will have to enlarge his/her knowledge base and conversational skills, as it takes intellectual stimulation to keep Libra from being bored and restless. If Cancer continues to play the role of the quiet sulking martyr then he/she will not last long in Libra's affections. If Cancer will relax and enjoy life more, Libra would learn to like the devotion Cancer showers on him/her. Cancers preference for the loving approach, filled with romance, is simply not stimulating to Libra; his/her stimulating thoughts of various physical desires makes Cancer feel revolted and slightly dirty. Going by astrology, honestly, it's better to stick with a Scorpio, Pisces, Taurus, or a Virgo. I've never really gotten along with any Libras. I absolutely LOVE Virgos and Scorpios, but I'm probably just an odd Cancer :-)

Only going on the basis that I am a Cancer and my ex-wife was a Libra.....I would have to say it is like a cat and dog in a bag. But in all fairness I would have to say that our signs were probably not the real problem.
