I try very hard not to lie. I never told my children about Father Christmas or the Easter bunny or even the tooth fairy.
It is because of my religious upbringing but also because I saw the way my ex-husband would lie, simply because he couldn't be bothered to tell the truth. It's the ability to despise people because they love you enough to believe your stupid lies that sickens me. A lack of respect.
So I try not to lie. Even though it would be easier often to tell a lie.

my best friend is cheating gonna tell no do you lie maybe if you really love them doomed if you do doomed if you don't
my mums dieing she feel fine doesn't know thinks everything OK should I burst her bubble BIG no no were there is life there is hope say nothing you don't lie just to oneself so is it or isn't it a sin it depends on the context like truth another story your choice

Never, because even if the truth as you know it may hurt someone, much better than them getting hurt twice, when they find out the lie....and they will....in the end....always do. So, you hurt them twice. Maybe lying to the police is a good move, and to your parents if your young, but apart from that. TRUTH, ALWAYS THE TRUTH.

I was raised Military. My father was very strick and I was beaten if I lied. This has instilled in me since I was a child. So needless to say, I don't lie at all. I wouldn't want to be lied to either. Would you? It's also a sin. So I say never, some one always gets hurt.

When someones feelings are at stake or your in trouble not with the law though. White lies are to protect. REMEMBER: THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE BUT A LIE WILL COVER YOUR ***.
