We "argue" over how to say caramel, carribean....and something else....but its just for fun.

If he seriously corrected my grammar or pronunciation i'd be very very annoyed. Unless it was a word I used all the time and was obviously saying it wrong and people were snickering about it, then itd be ok if he corrected me.

Whenever anyone corrects me of that - i get pretty damn annoyed. I usually don't correct people coz if they're using every-day talk, who the hell cares as long as you can understand what they're meaning!

I guess some people have pet peeves when it comes to that.

No, but I correct hers all the time. I tell her it is not of wanting to show my superiority but I want her to sound as intelligent as she really is.

My husband does it, and it drives me insane. I graduated with a BA in English, so my husband just does it to tease me. It really makes me angry sometimes, but I try to ignore it.
