I think it is great that your partner cares enough to challenge you. Love isn't always about being nice. Sometimes, it involves challenge and confrontation. However, I hope we can all balance that with caring and support, too.
Take care.....

LOL...Sure, my husband corrects my grammar and pronunciations all the time!! BUT...It's always in a joking manner.. He's from Indiana, I'm from Tennessee...so...I guess that tells the story ..lol Hey, I learned a long time ago too not let the small things in life get too me,. If your husband is corecting your grammar all the time just laugh it off, he will eventually get the message...

Nope I correct hers. It's about eduction not cruelty. Doesn't drive her batty either, she actually appreciates it. In return she helps me with dressing more appropriate for a situation. It's more about us both helping the other be all we can be and more.
It's all how you look at it and we choose a more positive look at it.

Excuse me, but "batty" is not a correct adjective. J/K
Yeah, if it happened often, I would just tell him/her that I have a standing appointment w/ an English professor so that he/she will clue in to the fact that it bugs me! Hang in there. :)

No, I am the corrector in the relationship and let me commend you on asking if we just want to smack him/her, instead of smacking "them", which is the wrong way to ask the question. Good job!

Don't worry, eventually he'll give up and love you for who you are, bad grammar and all. Unless you smack him, then you just weren't meant to be.

He corrects me sometimes but I'm glad when he does it, especially if it's the wrong pronunciation.

Too many people in our society are lazy and sloppy. I think it is important for people to share discipline with one another. It is one of the best ways to grow and improve.

Our we in a relationship or grammar school?
Let me talk the way I talk and I will let you talk the way you talk.
Correcting a child is one thing, but correcting another person is just plain rude and insulting.
