just got a violation for posting a joke yesterday......reason for violation :this is not a question/answer.........i don't know many jokes which are questions .....you get a lot of people who go to the 'jokes & riddles ' section read the joke then answer 'wheres the question'............
Question: is this a joke....and why do people answer the joke like that? ....oh no might get reported for asking two questions

I don't know why sometimes people get a violation. I have seen so many things posted that weren't a question and made no sense. They are just silly sentences with a question mark at the end. You can see many examples of that just about any time you go to polls and surveys.
I guess you get a violation because someone decided to report it.
If nobody was supposed to post a joke or Riddle, why do they have a category here? makes no sense does it?

That sucks. I can see why it would be in jokes and riddiles but why would it get a violation? I personally see it as a play on words. I'm sorry the system is a pain in the @$$.
