There's the butterfly museum. It's got live butterflies from all around the world in a greenhouse garden, and you can walk around in it. Then you can stroll over to Memorial Park. Close by is O'Rourkes which has great steaks, but I personally prefer Cafe Brazil, which has a nice patio. Not sure what the party scene will be like yet, but there will be some good house/techno music some where, maybe M-Bar or Meridian. After coming back from NYC, Houston seems so boring. LOL!

For all of your shopping needs, definitely check out the Galleria. For night time entertainment, downtown's Aquarium and/or Bayou Place is a great place to hang out. To satisfy all of your cultural/"artsy" needs, the museum district is a great area to cruise (over 15 museums to choose from). If it's go-carts and video games you're into, you could try out a little gaming center/buffet we call Incredible Pizza (great pizza buffet topped with affordable game play). Finally, if you are just looking for a nice picnic area to relax and get in some lunch, we also have some great parks (i.e. Memorial, Hermann, etc.). I hope you enjoy your stay here!

Make sure that you sample a little of each kind of cusine while you are there. We were down there two years ago and fell in love with the city and surroundings and all they had to offer. The food is fabulous!! Make sure you check out the out door mall area by the huge IKEA store right off of Interstate 45.

I'd like to give you things to do, that you can't do where you're from, but I don't know where you're from and what your age range is. Assuming you live up North and you are 25-35.
