Write in English, talk in English, Read documents written in English, etc. would rather speak in my own language but I am a visitor to the UK so its rude to talk in foreign languages to people who do not understand them.

Giving up my seat on the bus!!!
After i have been on my feet for 9 hours at work, the least i wanna do is grab a seat on the bus for my 30 minute journey home, but then a little old lady always seems to get on at the next stop so being polite and obliging...........i give it up and have to stand up whilst being thrown forwards and backwards by the bus driver who has never heard of the saying "go easy on the brakes".
Although i dislike giving up my dirt infested seat on the cattle transporter, i must admit it does make me feel like i have done my deed for the day! lol

Take another piece of cake when I'm dieting. Tell my friend that she looks pretty in the dress on which she just spent a fortune and which doesn't do anything for her. Accept an invitation from a boring but lonely person. Correspond with someone who needs my letters but doesn't write interesting letters in return. Tell a friend that his carefully constructed but boring short story is ingenious. The list is endless.

Anything involving weddings, and even then only if I can't find a way to politely wig out. I'm sick of bridezillas.

well its costs nothing to be polite even if you dont like the person, so i guess even saying the polite hello and goodbye is enough, you dont have to have a full on conversation with them,

nothing! i'm not a people pleaser. i am diplomatic about most things though. if someone asks me to do something i don't want to do, i usually tell them i'm not comfortable doing that, or if put on the spot, i always say, let me think about it and get back to you. personal empowement is good for you.
