platte fish have had babies the fish in in suclusion now but i'm not sure how long before i should release the baby fish into the community tank

Until the babies don't fit into the other fishes mouth.

The only safe way is to wait until they are adult sized because they will be eaten by the other fish. Though the mother is not as likey to eat them she very well still can. Just to be on the safe side keep them separated.
Platies mature at about 3-4 months of age.
