Whilst pregnant, women have certain discharges but to be sure you should call NHS direct. i think 0845 4567. If you are really concerned, go to local A&E

If this is around the usual time it could be a residue of a period which is a fairly normal thing, but if there is a lot of it or if it is definitely not that, get it checked out by the GP. In the meantime, you could call NHS Direct, the number for which should be in the local telephone book. A nurse will take details and give information or pass you to an available doctor for advice.
Good luck

If it was only slight and did not get heavier throughout the day chances are that all is well. As you progress through your pregnancy your cervix swells and sometimes the cervix which is full of thousands of tiny blood vessels has one pop. This happens generally after intercourse etc. but can happen at any time. If you find the bleeding gets bright red or picks up I would consider taking her to get checked out. Unfortunately at 2 months there is not alot anyone can do and nature will take it's course. But have hope, from what you are describing, things sound ok so far.

They say that some spotting may be normal...but I don't believe that. If I were you, I would go to the closest ER. I had a miscarriage in December that started with light pink discharge but never had any cramping. I was 15 weeks along with triplets. Not all spotting means miscarriage, but it is better to know than to wonder and worry. I wish you all the luck and my prayers are with you and your wife.

Can be normal but it's always best to get checked out. Never worry about wasting the doctors time. If you can't see the GP go to A & E or if things get worse call your doctor for a home visit.
Good Luck. I'm sure that you won't need it though.

I had what I thought were normal periods for the first four months of my pregnancy, so bleeding is not always a bad sign.
If you're worried though, call NHS direct on 0845 4647. Failing that, pop down to A&E if you're really worried. It's better to have a slightly embarassing trip where they tell you nothing is wrong than to risk a problem.
I'm sure everything is fine though.
Good luck to both of you.

If you are that worried then go to the hospital. DOnt worry about seeing the doctor. I was 8 weeks pregnant and bled slighty with my 3rd child. It was bright red, but then it stopped after that day. It never happened again. Scared me half to death, but I have a healthy 2 1/2 year old running around. Try not to stress too much. I know how you can be worried though.

About 1/3 of all women have slight bleeding in the first trimester (for example it was widely reported that Britney Spears had it with both of her pregnancies). These women will go on to have beautiful babies. Have your wife stay off her feet and try to relax until Monday. If the bleeding becomes heavy, or she experiences painful cramps, take her to the emergency room.

Some people have a slight show at around the time their period would have been due which isnt anything to worry about I would just monitor it and if it gets any worse or last a more than a day or so speak to your doctor to put your minds at ease more than anything else,
Congratulations and good luck, good source of advise is baby centre.com they send you weekly updates on your pregnancy and let you know what to expect

Spotting is pretty normal when you are only 2 months pregnant. With my youngest I spotted a lot during the 2nd into the 3rd month. You could always go to the hospital and get her checked out if shes too worried. Thats better than her stressing out.

I would take her to the hospital. Any discharge when pregnant needs to be checked. Waiting until Monday could be too late. Hopefully you won't see this because you will already be there!
