I think this is called procrastination. I should know as I was very good at it when I was studying.
The only answer i can think of to this one is to think about how important this course is to you and imagine the feeling of handing in a well thought out essay on time, without worrying about missing deadlines. This site is good if you have the time to spare but not if you have more important things to be getting on with.
Good luck with your coursework and hope you can find the motivation to finish it - I really do sympathise with what you're going through.

the same reason why I am totally sick with a horrible cold, I should be in bed - yet here I am!
This is addicting!! However, the topic of your essay sounds very interesting - that would probably tear me away from here.
But then, I am a "true crime" fan and find stuff like that fascinating! Good Luck!

The same reason I am sitting here in a towel with wet hair instead of getting ready for work...we are procrastinators. We work better under pressure.

Forget about it, have a drink or 10 and start it tomorrow, maybe. You're just not in the mood mate! Why not try asking direct questions about your essay topic, research!!!

don't sweat it post your essay question then sit back, browse Answers for a bit then cut and past your responses and you'll have the best of both worlds

When you say female crime, do you mean the females were the victims or the perpetrators? I was a victim. If you want to hear it, let me know.
