That happened to me in 1977. (Well, actually some time before that, but I was suppressing it because we both had other partners and I was trying not to think about it; it was 1977 before it finally worked out for us to get together.)
We just got back from shopping for our youngest son's tenth birthday present, with our oldest daughter along to help, so I guess you could say it's working out.
The best thing about it is that I STILL like her better than anybody else I know. Just sitting around the house watching movies, cooking, shopping for groceries, going to the theater -- she's the one I most want to be with.
And the longer we're together, the more I'm convinced that liking each other is the best way to get through the bad times. Oh, sure, we have them, but we work past them because we really LIKE each other. And somehow that makes a bigger difference than being in love when we get grumpy.
So that's the report from thirty years on. Highly recommended.

I fell very much in love with my best friend. We have been man and wife now for 16 years, and she's still my best friend.

i did, but i fell in love, and she became my best friend after.
and what would i do?
i guess bicker and fight all the time.
cause thats what we do.
kinda wierd how u can fight all the time about stuff. but when push comes to shove. the stuff your fitghting about doesnt mean anything compared to how much you really love the person.

Then you found something that most of us dream of. Looks fade over time, but friendship... well that lasts a very long time.

it would be hard because you would love him and not want to lose him at the same time, but it would be worse if you don't do anything, knowing that there is a possibility something could
