I think a bigger problem is how many people to force their own values and ideologies on others...especially when their opinions are uninformed.

So by that logic do you think that all households have to be the same to succeed?
And that even if all of society was changed not every one would be happy....biological determinsim of behavioural boundaries has always been too constricting, and although I respect your unconventional opinion......be careful not to think that what you want is best for eveyone since they dont feel the same. I can see that you are a utilitarian and that u want the best for everyone, but business shares the responsibility for a lot of societies problems as much as any other changes. Businesses should realize they influence society a lot more than the government and they should take more responsibility and give better e.g. flexibility to working mums hours without claiming that it affects their business and mums should have to fit to their requirements totally. Business should not discriminate against working mums because as it is mums cant have a job and give as much time to their children as they really need. It's not up to mums to accomodate businesses and break their backs in the process, I think it should be upto the companies to accomodate mums by law and its time for them to realize their postion and importance in society, as they have far more power over people lives than the government and make up the fabric of society in a way not accounted for in any way.

Exactly, that is YOUR opinion. I rather work than sit at home and be bored. What are you saying women should be FORCED to stay home. Sorry this is a free country. get over it. I don't want a family anyway. That's why in the future I will work so I can pay my expenses and get and education. this does not lower education.

And all good opinions too but let's not forget that Americans have become redundantly foolish in their spending and lifestyles while complaining about the need for dual incomes. The more we make the more they take and this adage applies to all the rising costs associated with housing, food, education, etc etc.

is that what you really think?
Women and men working in the same household often decreases the number of births which is proven when flordia had that power outage for days there was a abnormal amount of births in the positive. This is a good thing no place needs to become overpopulated as in china

Women have always been in the workplace; cooking, cleaning, washing, mending, churning, weaving, etc. There has NEVER been a time in the history of the world when women were not part of the workforce.
We just now have more options and better pay.

my opinion w/this corrupt "free" country is that there would be a lot more divorces, suicide, murders, assault, and domestic violence if we lived in a world of stay at home wife's because of the fact that there are too many influences. wives would be cheating on their husband's, having secret affairs, and husband's would probably take advantage of the fact that they control the household income and expenses leading to "late nights" at work and drinking w/their friends at bars hitting on women. sad to say, this world would be a better place if that didn't happen (for you). women are a very big influence in this world and are very inspirational to us men. that's just my opinion.

No its the fact that women want to be treated equal but when treated equal they are offended, its the fact that women wont come out and just tell the truth and say "we want to be treated better than men". Women should work and make their own money, thats the way it should be rather than always being dependant on someone else. Women shouldnt just get to sit around all day and do nothing but spend the money that she doesnt even make...

demoralization and complacency. every super power died over time (i.e. ancient Rome, Egyptian, etc..). The US is a short 200 year old country, and for us to be at a decline already doesn't say much about the governing leaders or the people who elect them.
