just be careful. theres a lot of weirdos out there. if u are gonna keep it, make sure ur profile is set to private. of course, they may only think myspace is bad, cuz all they hear about it, is the bad things on news about it. like for example, stupid girls decide to meet up with guys they meet on myspace, and then they end up getting raped or killed. i have myspace and i dont think its a bad thing...it all depends on how u use it. just be careful.

rst off there should be no reason to hide anything from your parents unless what you are doing is wrong, and if that is the case then you shouldn't be doing it to begin with.

There are all kinds of people in the world good, bad, nice, mean, helpful, deceitful, etc. Your parents most like feel it is bad because of the bad ones, the deceitful ones. It has nothing to do with you. From my own experiences:

I met a guy when I was in my 20's online he was sweet kind all the good stuff you dream of, we talked on the phone wrote letters and all the fun stuff. I finally broke down and went to meet him (he lives in Canada, I live in California). When I met him, he had a tattoo of Jesus on one calf of Charles Manson on the other, he had a shaved head smoked pot, did speed, and I was suppose to stay with him and his family for a month, during Christmas and New Years, his roommate was a gentleman and saw my shock and did his best to make my stay better, his mom was just as strange as him. Yes, he was a skinhead. I let my pride get in my way and didn't go home early. It was one of the worse things that has ever happened to me this man was a skinhead druggy and so much more, if it wasn't for his roommate I don't know what would have happened. From speaking to him online I had no idea he was this kind of person. I had met him through a friend of mine that had no idea he was that way either.

Your parents love you and want what is best for you. Trust them, I wish I had listened to mine a lot more growing up, live and learn.

As for myspace, there have been a lot of predators on there. Maybe if you allowed your parents to monitor what you were doing on there they would allow it...hiding it from them will only make trust you less, and give them a reason to be upset with you...be honest and open with your parents and you gain their trust and respect.

Good Luck

I have made some good Christian people on myspace. Just because we hear the bad things on the news about it, doesn't make it bad. Protect yourself by not putting much personal info about yourself and for your own safety, I would set your account to private because you do have that option.

I would also tell your parents you have an account. Keeping things from them only makes things worse. Believe me, I remember keeping some things from my parents only for them to come out in the worst possible way. Your parents only want to protect you, and if you tell them you want to stay on myspace, they can help you with what information to keep and what information to not put on your profile.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

I'd say if you're not old enough to have an account, then you should delete it. If you are old enough and are aware of what you post, then you should be fine. If you aren't posting anything incriminating, then your parents really shouldn't have an issue with you haveing myspace - it's like email these days. Just be careful of what you post - keep your photos obscure and dont post alot of info, there are plenty of psychos out there...

As a parent, it would depend on how old you are and how responsible you are. I have three pages. I see a lot of good people and some bad. If you're careful about who you talk to then it should be fine. Just don't ever give out personal information. Just know that there are a lot of sick people out there who can hurt you. I would tell your parents though and show them how responsible you are with it. Honestly though, your parents should be more responsible in knowing what you do on the internet.

If he located himself as single on Myspace it does not take a rocket scientist to envision he needs diverse women human beings human beings. If he has a clean newborn yet says he does not choose babies what he's attempting to declare is he did no longer even choose the only he has and that i might desire to wager he's no longer even looking after that one. All you're to him is somewhat for now till finally he has some ingredient extra effective effective to do or finds himself a clean piece off Myspace. I say you %. your crap up and flow away and flow finally finally end up somebody else. end dropping it sluggish soliciting for suggestion in this guy mutually as he's no longer even fairly actual incredibly easily worth the time it took for me to grant it. flow ON!!!

i think it can and it can`t. you see if you give all of your information about you like where you live and what you look like then it is dangerous, but if you did not then it is not dangerous.
