This is an easy question for me to answer, but you'll have to decide what your real passion is. Without a doubt, it's the office work in the medical field... your hours are quite good, unless you work at a hospital. But if you work for a doctor, your hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.... that's perfect if you want a family. But if you do the manicurist/barber, you'll work longer hours AND usually Saturdays or even Sundays. Plus, many of those places are open in the evenings because that's when people have time for haircuts, etc. Overall, you'll also have better health benefits, vacation days, etc. at a doctor's office.

Doing nails will make your more money but will you want to do it for the long hall? A medical office manager can make a tidy living and there are no chemicals to deal with although you do have to put up with doctors with bad bedside manners. Nails will make you about $400 a week. I would go for the medical office work. Unless you decide to open a shop then the money would be better in the nail shop but work for someone for about 5 years first so that you get to know the business inside and out before you jump in.

I'd say the first option. Once qualified you can work for yourself to a timetable that suits you - especially if you work as a mobile hairdresser/manicurist.
If you are self employed you will get out what you put in and reap the rewards for your hard work rather than your employer.

People will always need medical assistance of one kind or another. Persue that initially and keep beauty school for sideline money.
