I am divorced with 3 kids. Attractive 43. Am so so lonely. I had one long relationship followed by 4 short futile alliances. I feel worse than ever. I want to take the advice that says I do not need a partner but I long for someone to care. The children are gorgeous but I am so soft they bully me and are misbehaved. I have no family who care or help and am constantly depressed - I feel selfish saying this but if it wasn't for the kids I would kill myself - I am so so unhappy.

Sometimes having children especially younger ones makes it difficult to establish relationships. Guys tend to get scared off or don't feel they want to raise other peoples kids.
You may consider getting some help outside of family. There may be support groups in your area of you can not afford professional help.
I am a widower and 49 with three kids and I know it is not always easy. Good luck

Seems like everyone is suffering.You need to be the adult get some therapy for yourself and the kids.You shouldnt need a man to define you.The kids pick up on your weekness.

Get a therapist and become an adult for your children. The self pity is hurting them far more than you realize. You are depressed
