I am studying for the CFP exam that I will take on Nov 17th and 18th. It is done over 2 days and covers a lot of information. I have a prep book that I've been using but I'm 5 days behind the schedule given in the book. I was a week and half behind before, but studied for about 8 hours the last week to finish all the topics and get to the point where I'm reviewing. Just for reference, the book suggests 3-4 hrs per day.

My brain was racing a million miles an hour yesterday, but now I feel like its shut down. What kinds of activities are good to do to rejuvinate your mind and get ready to learn the material?

Is there anything I can do to ensure that I can focus for the 4 hours at a time necessary for the test?

Should I focus more on reviewing the information or is it better for me to do more sample questions? I've invested a lot into passing this exam and there's a lot of pressure on me. You can read about it here to see what's involved if that woudl help:

It is important to schedule breaks for yourself in order to keep your mind fresh.
They do not have to be long; 5-10 minutes is enough. Take a short walk, get a drink and go to the bathroom, do something that is short but that you enjoy. Then get back to studying and you will be fresher.
The amount of time that you work in between breaks depends on you; some may need it every 30 minutes; others may only need a break every 50 minutes or so.

As for the studying strategy; I would do a little of both. Take some practice questions and see how you do. If you are getting them all right then you may not even have to study that much more. If you are missing any then spend time reviewing those topics. Sometimes just seeing that you got it wrong is enough to realize what the problem is.

I wasn't going to anwer this and then found I had to. once you're intense approximately this as an theory please enable me say it sounds an entire disaster and a fairly egocentric ideas-set. you do no longer look attracted to helping others extra earning a miles better earnings. it somewhat is not any reason to bypass into any scientific container. your individual psychological wellbeing status additionally seems fairly fragile to be shifting right into a container the place the concentration is on your affected person's psychological wellbeing and not your individual. i do no longer want you any ill, why could I, I have not have been given any theory who you're, yet i'm hoping you re-evaluate this. I doubt despite in case you would be time-honored on a similar time as nevertheless on such lively treatments and it seems such as you're somewhat a fashion from being able to project this form of demanding point of prognosis. assessment your existence by way of all ability, make an intensive replace, who knows it may nicely turn issues around for you yet please, if money is the only making use of tension, do no longer pursue this actual course, discover something extra appropriate to you, this is no longer it appropriate now and that i'm sorry yet i do no longer think of this is ever going to be.

Exercise is a great way to get the mind going again! I remember when studying for my comprehensive exams (I had to write 12 essays over 6 hours.) I had to really work hard to study, so I would take walks around the block or library (depending where I was) to get thnigs going again.
