i am using optical mouse.tht green socket pins are bend

don't mess up with the hardware unless you know 100% what to do. better show it to any professional technician or i'm afraid your socket will be damaged. another simple advice, go get a new one!

I agree with the first answerer, I once had the same problem and straightened the pins with the tip of a screwdriver. If that doesn't work then buy a new mouse, they are not expensive!

Until you get a new mouse, you'll have to use your keyboard... the TAB button will move your mouse position... good luck :-)

UPDATE: Please DO NOT bend the pins back! If they short out then you'll have to replace the port your mouse is plugged into. And that port is usually part of the motherboard. Do you really want to risk having to replace THAT over a cheap mouse? :-)

Take a pair of needle nose pliers and pry them back. If it still doesn't work you're SOL and need a new mouse.
