So he needed to soak in the hot tub with her? I think they could have waited until you got home, or when other people were around or could join the party. I mean I know that a hot tub can be a very relaxing place, and can be used to destress a person, but maybe he could have offered the hot tub to her, and talked with her out side of the hot tub later, or just sat on the side. I mean I guess it depends on how close your family is, and if you would completely trust the two of them. I understand your apprehension or concern, but really if your family is close (which I assume they are because she felt like she could turn to her husbands brother), then really I would not worry about it. It can be an uncomfortable situation for you, but if her husband just died, then I think the LAST thing that would have been going on in that hot tub was romantic. Just tell your husband that it took you off guard and it was uncomfortable for you to see that. Just gain a perspective and see if you think you are overreacting.

What?! I don't think conforting someone leads you to a hot tub...especially some girl. I would confront him alone about this, I don't care if he or she had clothes its still disrespectful. Do you think he would be confortable if the tables were turned, he catching you in a hot tub with your brother-in-law??? Yeah of course not! Confront your husband about this, but in a low tone and see if you can get an explanation.

Did she have a loss? Was there a more appropriate place to "comfort" her?Why were you excluded? You may be right to suspect differently...if he's not communicating in honesty what's the point? What does this woman have to say for herself?Perhaps you should talk to her spouse.Good Luck

unless you actually caught them doing something I think you are being insecure. Has your husband ever given you a reason not to trust him in the past?

Are you crazy. There are more ways to comfort her. He is cheating with you and it is time for you to divorce him.

How obvious does it have to be? Should he have put a sign around his neck saying "I am cheating, please leave me alone."
