go to www.tigerdirect.com or www.newegg.com and look under motherboards. What you want to look for is a motherboard that is compatible with a Pentium 4 chip which is also known as a Socket 775. tiger has about 50-60 compatible motherboards. Now, you want to look for a motherboard that is also compatible with everything else you have (hard drives/ram/video cards/ sound cards/etc.) If you have a Serial ATA or SATA hard drive, make sure you find a motheboard with SATA compatibility. Some only come with EIDE or PATA. The good boards usually come with both EIDE/PATA and SATA. Tigerdirect is pretty good aobut specifics with motherboards so check out their descriptions of what is on the boards. Make sure your RAM is compatible too. If you need help, they ahve little tutorials or you can call them up and they'll help you out.

You have to get a motherboard that supports the type of processor and RAM you have, I would need to know exactly which Pentium 4 you have and whether the RAM is SDRAM or DDR RAM.

EDIT: To the guy that answered after me, not all P4s are socket 775, in fact most aren't.
