Normal can mean common or accustomed, acknowledged, average, commonplace, conventional, customary, general, habitual, mean, median, methodical, natural, orderly, ordinary, popular, prevalent, regular, routine, run-of-the-mill*, standard, traditional, typical, or usual.
So the underlying question of whether its frequency, or lack thereof, has a bearing on it's rightness or wrongness, or it's healthiness, or the extent that it is a sign of a genetic defect, is not answered by any demonstration of its normality.
But certainly it's normal for those who are born with the urge to practice such behavior, and it's fairly settled that the urge IS part of an inborn trait. So it may be a bit ridiculous to argue that some are born to act immorally, but ridiculousness has not stopped a lot of the bigotry and hypocrisy to date.
The jury is still out on the extent that the behavior is healthy or that it can be classified as having defective origins. But it looks like fun to many, and who am I, or who are others, to knock it if we haven't tried it?

This is true. Even in plants some are both male and female. So it is normal. It is not optimal for reproduction of the species. But Neither is being sterile.

other species are different from humans and do not have the benefit of the soul that only humans have. 2-6% is a very small portion and you don't even cite a source for that rate. being gay is not normal, the act is displayed among humans and animals but at the core of sex is the neccesity to procreate to act against this is abnormal.

In case you haven't noticed, most homophobes are very good at ignoring the fact that humans are not the only animals that can be homosexual. They ignore a number of other important facts, too.

yes, but the interesting question is WHY do animals exhibit homosexuality? the main drive of animals is to successfully get their genes into the next generation and increase fitness, while decreasing costs. homosexuality would be a waste of energy costs, since it appears to be doing nothing to increase fitness. sorry, i guess i'm opening up a whole new discussion here...

well its not normal, if it was normal your 2-6% statistics would be more like 49-51%
also homosexuality defies nature by compleatly wasting a life, after all the whole point of life is to reproduce and homosexual animals and humans dont do that.
Its not normal or natural.

of course there would be people who would thinks that homosexuality is NORMAL but Id like to think otherwise that homosexuality is a CHOICE by everyone I dont believed that God created one as a homosexual but rather it is a path in which the person has taken to live their life accordingly.

The bodies of men, and women, are designed differently.
Should it not be obvious that men were not designed to be with men? They don't fit together.
Should it not be obvious that a woman's body is not designed to be with another woman? They also do not "fit" together.
Is is not obvious that a man and woman, by how their bodies are designed, were meant to come together, not just for pro-creation, but to give of themselves wholly to each other?
And that does not even bring into account what the Designer of those bodies set forth as normal healthy habits. Cleaving unto one another as if they were one flesh.

I have noticed homosexual squirrels in my backyard.
I think homosexuality is not as abnormal as most people think.
Just to point out, I am heterosexual.
