Be active!! Walking, cleaning house...anything like that will help speed things up. The more active you are, the quicker it will happen. They also say that (dont b offended!) having sex can help induce labor. Also, try a teaspoon or two of castor oil. These are just a few suggestions that I have been given. However, since you are only 38 weeks and full term is 40 weeks, I would not suggest trying to rush things too much. The most important thing is for your baby to be born healthy!

Yes, and sure it did paintings. I did the equal gradual laboring that you're doing. And whenever I had intercourse, the contractions could come extra the following day. This went on for approximately per week. I used to be additionally swollen and relatively delicate, however it is not that dangerous when you get going. ;) Even although you misplaced your plug there isn't an improved hazard of illness b/c The placenta remains to be intact. From my enjoy, I wish to remind you do keep very very hydrated. If you end up de-hydrated, that crampy feeling won't leave in among contractions (referred to as "irritability") and it'll be not possible to time your contractions. GL

you can walk and have sex but if the baby isnt ready it doesnt amtter what you do its not going to come. im in teh same boat. im sick of being preggo and also almost 38 weeks and its my third. hang in there. you dont have as far to go as you have gone so try to put your mind on other things as much as you can. i try to do extra stuff with my other kids and focus on my hubby as well cause i know in a few short weeks ill be sleepin even less and be even more exausted

be aware that research shows castor oil can pass teh babys palcenta and enter the baby causing baby to have a bowel movement before birth and that can be dangerous to deadly for baby. anyone who tells you to do this is a moron. dont risk your babys health cause you want it out sooner

I haven't had my baby yet, but my mother (with her last one) ran stairs. She said the bouncing up and down caused her water to break. Although many say it was probably just becase she was ready. But hey, you might be ready too and it might just speed the process along. Good Luck! And Congrats!
