I like to fill a big bag with lots of things ppl can wear ... from girdles .. bikinis ... scarfs .... swimming cap ... stockings ... that kind of thing ... then as the party is going , i ask ppl pub quiz questions .. just at random , if they get the question right they get a shot , if they get it wrong , they close there eyes and pick something out the bag , and have to wear it for the rest of the night ! it`s great fun and nice to see a 16 stone guy in a bra , swimming cap and gypsy skirt lol . gl with your party !"

I am going to do this at our upcoming party. You have name badges with names of famous people (one per tag). Each guest gets one badge when they come in. They cannot see the name as you will put it on their back. They can ask questions to figure out the name on their badge. I am telling my guests that they can ask one question of each guest to try to figure out the badge name. That way they have to mingle and talk to everyone. You can do that with names of famous people, or other themes.

The person who thinks that they know the identity of the badge name comes to the host and tells them their guess. The first person to guess correctly gets a prize.

I have seen this done when the person can only ask yes/no questions in attempts to narrow down the possibilities. Ex: Male? Alive? American? Singer? Politician?, etc....

I like this idea as it does make people mingle outside their little group that forms and they get to interact in a party setting instead of trying to form a group for charades or something formal like that.

I went to a friends parents 25th anniversary party. It was a really mixed group of people and they were concerned about how to get everybody to talk to each other. They asked all guests to bring an item with them that was a clue to a song title. You then spent the night asking to see other peoples items and trying to guess their songs. It worked really well and everybody had a really good time.
