Conflicts with scheduling for vacations can arise quickly... I recommend those with the most seniority to have first choices as to when the want to take their vacation.
Conflicts with personnel not getting along... I'd make it policy to have all complaints always addressed to the immediate supervisor... employees should then let their supervisor make the call as to how things should proceed.
Conflicts with pay... some people find out what others are making, and then resent it if they make less. Make it a policy that employees NEVER share what they earn, and make it an offense for automatic dismissal should it occur.

1. Performance disagreements, when an employee and manager disagree on the required work.
- Resolution: Managers should discuss performance expectations with their employees regularly, and make sure the employee agrees to the list

2. Personality conflicts, when 2 colleagues disagree on common behavior, for example, one likes to listen to music out loud, and it disturbs the other.
- Resolution: Hopefully the colleagues can talk it out -- it can help to have a third party negotiate. Often a manager will need to step in and make a call.

3. Feedback issues, when one colleague gives feedback to another, and its interpreted as criticism, or as unnecessary.
- Resolution: Would very much depend on circumstances, but establishing clear guidelines on the work review process that includes how to give positive feedback and how to listen and respond before a project starts might help. Also, articulating each colleague's roles and responsibilities, and how each should participate in these feedback sessions.

Personality - When two people just don't get along. Offer a third party counselling service.
sexual harassment - Between co-workers,management. Develop a policy that deals with such abuses and make it well known to all staff.
personal (intimate) - limit workplace relationships between supervisors/employees in the same office. Make a policy that you are not to have direct authority over a relative.

unbalanced workload,
un-equivocal pay,
displaced level of responsibility,

Resolutions:
unbalanced workload= review each workers task and do a time study. Ask for input from the work group. try to discover changes in task to balance work flow.

unequivocal pay= audit pay of all with in the pay group. devise a fair formula based on output, Length of service, quality of work that would be fair for all.

Displaced level of responsibility= determine the scope of influence for the particular job, who is under this persons authority, who is impacted by this person's decisions, is it employees, customers, suppliers, executives. Then compare this with others in the organization.
