Save it until you can get more money and buy something really extravagant. That's what I always did with my birthday money at that age.

Have your parents help you open a savings account and put 150 dollars into it. Then with the 40 left over go buy a new outfit. My daughter is 10 and she has already saved up 55 in her account all on her own. Good luck.

Put half of it into a savings account or buy a savings bond with it.
Spend the other half on something you really want. New clothes, new shoes, new winter coat, CD's, computer/Gameboy games, books, etc.

I say put about half(or however much you want) into savings, and then use the other half to buy what you want. like clothes, books, music, etc.
