I used to be like this until I was trying to run away from my friend hoarsing around driving his car at me and I couldn't run away very good. I realyzed that it was kinda stupid and I should wear pants that fit me... now I am reformed from wearing baggy pants
also I wore them so that people didn't tease me about my chicken legs, I am tall and muscular too, but just not blatantly so I compensated through the hiding of the chicken legs LOL

because it looks really hott!! thats what cool guys do, and it is not going 'out of style'. people who said that are just probably old and dont know whats in style. as a matter of fact i wont go out with a guy without baggy pants. Tight pants look retarted and it looks gay. Me and my friends laugh at the boys at my school who dont wear baggy pants!

Same reason girls wear clothes two sizes too small or crop tops, low rider jeans, mini & micro mini skirts, underwear on the outside of their clothes, etc., etc., etc.,
Because it is what's popular!!!!

Most people today are influenced by the hip-hop community and from what it looks like the baggy clothing came from the hip-hop or "Gangsta" lifestyle.
