I have had furniture sliders (the things you put under furniture to make the furniture just slide across the floor) under my washer for 5 years. I've changed them twice. Now all of a sudden the washer do not slide anymore. I went and bought new sliders, still wont slide, even waxed the floor, still won't slide. Do anyone have any suggestions?

We throw out stuff like that all the time working for H.U.D. (housing and urban development). Reposessions, forclosures, evictions, etc. people leave everything when they go sometimes. Watch the curbs on trash day or anywhere rentals are involved. I also find a lot of good furniture at the dumpsters in trailer parks. Learning how to fix stuff is usually part of getting it for free. I have piles and piles of broken things that I'll only fix if and when I use it. I also swap junk with people. Large appliances almost always need to be repaired. The parts are cheaper than buying the whole machine and a coat of paint (properly applied) will make it look good again.
