There are a lot of sites out there that operate 24 hours a day. Yahoo, Google, and MSN have channels that update finance stories daily. You can also check people who are blogging about investing and the stock market by doing a blog search at http://blogger.com
These are some sites I found helpful when I first started investing:
http://investopedia.com
http://investingsensei.org
http://barchat.com
http://finance.yahoo.com
http://cnn.com/money
Graciously
The Investing Sensei

The problem is the stock market does not run seven days a week. Yahoo finance is good site, or smartmoney.com

You can put stocks into your IM to make a stock ticker, too.
The stock market only operates M-F 9-4:30 (or something like that)
