- Is Pearl & Sponge Bob adopted, because their parents are different creatures?

My kids say that Pearl is adopted but Sponge Bob's parents are really old and are suppose to look like old sponges. Her adoption was revealed in a small snippet during one show.
Yes it is ficitional you guys, but it is a fun question. Lighten up.

Im not really sure of pearl becouse she's a whale her dad's a crab but spongebob's parents are spunges to but i think there diffrent kinds of sponges than sponge bob.

Pearl and Spongebob are not related. Pearl is the daughter of Mr. Krabs, but we don't know if she's adopted or not. Spongebob's parents are sponges, as is his grandma, and if you haven't seen the one with "Grandma's cookies", you haven't lived yet.....lol. I watch with my kids and it's a sweet and silly show that we can all laugh at. Take care and God Bless!!

Although that has not been revealed through the episodes thus far, Pearl is Mr. Krabs' daughter. And Spongebob's parents ARE sponges. 0.o

Spongebob's parents are sponges they are just sea sponges ( actually animals).
I would imagine pearls mother is a whale and Pearl takes after her.

spongebob is not adopted but Pearl I'm not sure. Myabe they wanted to add different kinds of sea creatures to the show and that's why Pearl is a whale.

spongebob isnt adopted! both his parents are sponges just circular. and pearl...i cant say because I've never seen mr.krabs's wife or anything buit id say adopted...
