The dog says he'd be jealous, as he's still only got the Sony Walkman I bought him back in 1988...........

I advise against it... ever since my cat got his iPod, he's constantly stealing my computer to download new music. Somehow I get the feeling the authorities won't believe me when they come knocking on my door to arrest me for piracy and I point to Sir Fuzz-alot... but it might make for a decent insanity plea. As for your dog, I'd send him my old cassette tapes, but alas... I used them to line the catbox more than a decade ago.

When the cat of the household is happy, EVERYBODY is happy. Keep the cat happy!!! Just give the dog a beer, the remote and he'll keep himself happy for hours, and occasionally will disappear to the bedroom for a few seconds to lick himself.

Peace.

EDIT: Some really great answers here. Do cat lovers just have a better sense of humor or what?

Cats are jumpy, and have a tendency to drop things, what with no posable thumbs and all, which is why I recently bought my cat a Sansa. It uses flash memory (instead of a hard drive), which means it will most likely survive a fall. That fickle iPod hard drive will likely go to the dogs the second you, er, your cat loses grip. Plus, its cuter--sleek black. An ebony princess for your little pussy.

Can you believe they bleet out the word pussy?

It means cat, people!

*****... that doesn't mean cat.

Anyway, I hope your cat enjoys!

Does the cat deserve an ipod? Are you in a financial state to afford an ipod for your cat and then whatever it will take to make it an even gifting to your dog?

Yes. But make sure you wrap it up. I think your cat would enjoy it in a package with my address on it, given to the post office. That way it will be an extra surprise!

I'm sure you know that dogs and cats hearing is multi times humans. I suggest you remove all devices that can be detrimental and compromise their ability to use what nature gave them. It sounds like you are an over indulgent fur people parent and perhaps you really want an excuse to acquire these items for yourself.

Get the IPod, put it on the counter next to the stove.

When kitty gets up to look, grab him & throw him in the WOK.

Let the dog enjoy his new Nano.
